An appraisal...

Quite a detailed appraisal of the situation:

http://sagasearth.blogspot.com/2011/01/about-kiesha-crowther-little.html

Recognised by spiritual elders?

I'd say her credibility is shot every time she calls herself "Sioux" (the colonial term that no actual Lakota would use) or claims that there is such a thing as a "Sioux Salish tribe."

I'd say her credibility is much more shot by her blatant lies in that message defending herself.

"she has been recognized as shaman of the “Tribe of Many Colors” by the spiritual elders of many indigenous tribes and peoples including the Cherokee, the Cheyenne, the Hopi, the Inuit, the Aboriginal people, the Waitaha, the Maori, the Maya, the Zulu, as well as the lamas of Nepal and Tibet. Gifts and medicine from these peoples began coming soon after she was initiated as shaman at age 30"

Then why can't she name even one alleged elder who supposedly supports her? All she can name is an obvious fraud like Adam DeArmon/Yellowbird, a white exploiter out of Sedona who harmed dozens of Native elders with false claims. Not even Manataka was fooled by DeArmon.

Again the list of people she claims have elders supporting her:
Cherokee-
Which ones? Which of the three recognized nations?
Fact is, the Cherokee Nation has said openly many times that to put up a shingle on the web means you are a fraud. Period.

Hopi Nation- says the same. That's at least two tribes that consider her to be an outright fraud. More than likely her supposed "elders" are of dubious origin.

Inuit- Which ones of hundreds of communities?

Aboriginal people- have thousands of communities

Waitaha, Maori- apparently Crowther doesn't seem to know the Waitaha ARE Maoris. But a simple check shows why they mention this group within the Maori. Apparently the exploiter Melchizedek makes claims about their prophecies.

Maya- Again, which ones of the thousands of communities? Actual Maya tend to ID by their region and village.

Zulu- again, millions of Zulu

The lamas of Nepal and Tibet-ALL of them?
She certainly is big on grandiose unproven claims.

I will make the offer right now to Crowther and her supporters:

Name these supposed elders that you claim support her.

Until then, all she has backing her is an obvious fraud and exploiter, DeArmon, with a long track record of claiming to promote peace and spirituality while taking every dollar he can lay his hands on.

Lakota/Salish truth

My cousin and I have been quietly watching "little grandmother" for awhile on facebook. I signed up here to comment after seeing someone on facebook post that she had been mentioned on this forum. My cousin is pretty angry right now, trying to put word out about this woman. My family is Lakota. My cousin married a Salish and she and my grandmother live in the Flathead. She has shown pictures and video of this woman and her claims, and no one knows her or heard of her. Our family back in Lower Brule, do not know of her either except one who says she heard she was ordained by a new agey group in Colorado to go out and do these ceremonies with her crystals and that she has abandoned her children and husband to go and live this life. She is making other claims about how the Salish in the Flathead has made her a shaman over their people now. This is a lie as no one here hears of her.
I feel that all we can do is make demands for her to post pictures of her with family and elders to prove her claims. We do not know the entire story of what she is up to or why and trying to piece this together.

Attempted theft...

To briefly explain what's happened:
Crowther has been using an image of a painting by an Australian Aboriginal artist, Malcolm Maloney Jagamarra, to advertise her Australian trip.
The painting is worth over $6000 Aus. The use of the image is protected by Aus copyright laws.
Commercial Australian indigenous art is one of the few industries where Australian aborigines see a decent profit. There is an Indigenous Art Code set up to protect the rights of aboriginal artists to fair trade.
I find it ironic that she may be running into even more trouble by appropriating commercial work...

Here is a copy of the email correspondence I have been having with Sabine Haider, Vice President of the Aus Indigenous Art Trade Assoc and Director of Central Art:

Dear Sabine Haider,

I am writing to you to alert you to the use of one of your artist's paintings on the website of 'Kiesha Crowther, Little Garandmother'. If she or her representatives have permission to use your images, I apologise unreservedly and ask you to ignore this email.
The reason I query whether she has permission to use the image is because she has previously misappropriated traditions from northern american indigenous cultures, and been the subject of their protests.

You can find your artist's (Malcolm Maloney Jagamarra) image on the following two links:

http://littlegrandmother.net/EVENTSCALENDAR.aspx

http://littlegrandmother.net/AUSTRALIANWORKSHOP.aspx

Again, if she has permission to use this image I apologise. Her history with indigenous cultures has led me to suspect she may not...

Regards,
Catherine

Dear Catherine

Thank you very much for the alert. NO permission has been granted. Gee, this makes me mad. Thank you once again. Hopefully the person will remove this immediately otherwise I will require to inform Viscopy.

Dear Sabine,
thanks for letting me know.
I belong to a website called NewageFrauds and Plastic Shamans, whose aim is to protect indigenous cultures from misappropriation/exploitation.
We are collecting information about Crowther to raise awareness of her activities.
I havent mentioned the name of your artist or yourself on the forum, although I have stated that I suspect she has used an image without permission.
Is it alright with you if I make this information public?

regards,
Catherine

Dear Catherine
Please do. I work very closely with Copyright Australia and Aboriginal Artists Agency Anthony Wallis who is currently away overseas. Anthony would know exactly what we should do. Please let me know if I can help or assist with getting the word out. Perhaps Art Trade can assist as well. I have been so angry and even more so when one cannot contact the person.

Dear Catherine
Here I am again requiring your help. I cannot find any contact details for this person. Apparently so busy she is unable to answer any emails. Can you help me.
Regards
Sabiné Haider

Dear Sabine,
I wish I could give you contact details for Kiesha Crowther- I would imagine that there are a number of people trying to find her!
All I can tell you, is that in the past year, she has deeply offended various indigenous tribes in America, by claiming to be their 'shaman' and by offering her version of some of their most sacred ceremonies for sale. Following strong protests over the internet from Lakota people, and the publishing of official statements from the Elders of the Salish tribe and a Mayan Elder, and following the circulation of an article written by a Dr Carroll on her fraudulence, she removed her claims re her 'indian connection' from her website. Chapters of the AIM (American Indian Movement) have recently been protesting her appearances in the USA. I suspect that she hopes to find an audience removed from all of this in Australia.
Regarding her website, Crowther has removed material that she had no right to in the past, once it got too 'hot'. I would hope that if she receives emails from yourself, on behalf of your agencies and referring to Copyright Australia, she would remove the image immediately. If not, I'm not sure how one would find her- unless you were able to trace her once she got to Australia in June.
I'll put details of my correspondence with you on the NAFPS (NewAgeFrauds and Plastic Shamans) website. It may be that someone has further ideas re action you can take.
You can find us at http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php
kind regards
Catherine

Welcome Ms Wilma

I checked KC site and the artist's work has been taken down.

Thanks to you:)

All that $$$ and too cheap to use an i stock image- Geez!

SOTA statement

The following statement is from the SOTA ( http://www.shiftoftheages.com/ ) Facebook page:

"Shift of the Ages
We wanted to stay out of this, but SOTA was more or less forced into addressing Kiesha Crowther's claims. Portions of Wandering Wolf's video messages were taken without permission and used out of context to build her credibility and garner support for her message and work. She also claimed to be a recognized member (or Wisdom Keeper) of the Continental Council of Indigenous Elders of the Americas (the underground Council Wandering Wolf is president of) and this is completely false. We've obviously received many questions about Don Alejandro's and SOTA's association with her. Is she saying some inspiring and good things? ... yes. Is some of the things she is saying truth? ... perhaps? Has she intentionally mislead people? ... Without a doubt!"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tEuaj4h8dw&feature=player_embedded#at=41

It take a 'Wasichu' to bring the truth to the rest of the 'Wasichus'!

Why does Keisha do nothing about the people she claims to be a "Shaman" for?
How can she stand in front of anyone else and make claims that she has authority to practice ceremonies, carry a 'Chanunpa' (ceremonial pipe), wear a medicine bundle, wear a buckskin, facilitate 'Inipi' (sweat lodge), when the Elders of the Lakota do not know her and have never met her?
She has no integrity as she allows 'her' people to suffer while she makes hundreds of thousands from their traditions and gives nothing back!

Note: how sad and ironic that IBM sponsors the video, when they were responsible for the machines and the numbering system, that counted the victims of the Nazi concentration camps, and are now the leaders in the campaign for RFID chips in humans around the world! They have made, and want to make more, billions from suffering!

Regarding Kie$ha Crowther/Little Fraudmutter

O.K. Stop me if you’ve heard this before but …

I’ve been following this one lately and it seems like this one has been thoroughly exposed as a fraud.

It turns out that "Little Grandmother" and her lesbian lover, Jennifer Ferraro cooked up the entire “Little Grandmother” scam at their home in Santa Fe along with her mother and some of her old friends. I found this out because her followers are turning on her and giving out information about her all over the internet.

AIM Southern Cal and AIM Santa Barbara organized a protest against Little Grandmother in Palm Springs on February 26, 2011 and Kiesha’s lover has been stalking and harassing Native people speaking out online ever since.

If you look at these videos and follow the links to the Facebook groups and forums, you’ll get a better understanding of what a deceptive liar Kiesha is. She walked out on her two small children to make money with this scam. She's a dead-beat mom & not even a real grandmother.

Here’s some of the comments from the StarSistersShow YouTube channel that were deleted:

Angelfish300 : “the story was built up as a way to teach new age teachings and spark interest in those who love Indian people and their ways. There was a discussion about this when a creative team yes a creative team got together. I was hired and sat in on those early meetings. Kiesha is a regular person who has new age beliefs but has no drop of Indian blood. Jennifer told me on many occasions that the Indian people can go X themselves. They do not care about those people at all.”

Angelfish300: “I am seeing so many people who are going to get hurt when the truth sinks in. Kiesha closes up her boards, she tells Vicky Barton to keep a tight lid on anything controversial. They remove posts and tell everyone they are being in the negative and not in the heart. They mistreat their own "tribe". A woman named Rainbow told me that she donated ten thousand and was mistreated on the facebook group and she left and broke ties. I can put you into touch with her. This is real. "

Angelfish300: "I signed up here to talk to anyone who cares. I used to work with Kiesha and Jennifer. I walked away from this job because of the inconsistencies with Kiesha's stories to me. I caught in her several lies about money.? I found out that Jennifer stole her father's ATM card and was withdrawing money off of it and supporting their lifestyle on it. Her father died and the family is now after her on this. Kiesha shut off the message board because the moderators there have complained "

Angelfish300: "last part, she told people on the show in Sweden I think it was that her mother lived on the reservation but that is an out and out lie. Please listen and believe me. This whole thing is a set up for money. Her mother used to be in on this and has tried to separate herself off Kiesha. Kiesha is not a spiritual person. She only wants this money. Jennifer may threaten to sue me. I am sure she will figure out who I am. Something must be done to stop the stealing."

pretty interesting stuff

Kiesha’s next event is in Santa Fe and we’re looking for people in the area who would be willing to organize a protest. The best way to find others is to join the Facebook group, League of Pissed Off NDNZ

There’s all kinds of info there. ( I quit because there was too much fighting between nuagers & ndns)

Protection of Ceremonies O-mini-c'i-ya-pi

I, Chief Arvol Looking Horse, 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, would like to thank all the People that attended this historic 'Protection of Ceremonies' meeting.

Bernard Red Cherries, Northern Cheyenne Nation, Northern Cheyenne Arrow Priest, and Elk Society Headsman; Tweety Little Bird Northern Cheyenne Nation, Northern Cheyenne Elk Horn Scraper Society; Lee Pedro, Southern Arapahoe Nation, Southern Arapahoe Rabbit Man (Holy Man); Dave Chief, Ogallala Nation, Lakota Spiritual Leader; Dave Swallow, Ogallala Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Kevin Horse Looking, Ogallala Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Floyd Hand, Ogallala Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Silo Black Crow, Ogallala Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Sam Moves Camp, Ogallala Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Chris Leith, Prairie Island Dakota Community, Medicine Bundle Keeper ; Gaylen Drapeau Sr., I-hank-to-wa (Yankton Sioux) Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Gaylen Drapeau Jr., I-hank-to-wa (Yankton Sioux) Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Ambrose Little Ghost, Spirit Lake Dakota Nation, Dakota Spiritual Leader; Calvin Medicine Bear, First Assinoboine Nakota Nation, Spiritual Leader; Leonard Crow Dog, Si-c'an-g'u Rosebud Sioux Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Roy Stone Sr., Si-c'an-g'u Rosebud Sioux Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Ned Medcalf, Si-c'an-g'u Rosebud Sioux Nation, Interpreter/advisor; Leon Red Dog, Hoh'-wo-ju Cheyenne River Sioux Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Steve Vance, Hoh'-wo-ju Cheyenne River Sioux Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Francis Yellow, Hoh'-wo-ju Cheyenne River Sioux Nation, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Jacob Sanderson, Cree Nation Canada, Medicine Bundle Keeper; Kevin Ta-c'an, Sioux Valley Manitoba Dakota Nation, Dakota Spiritual Leader

On March 8th and 9th, Spiritual Leaders and Bundle Keepers of the Lakota, Dakota, Nakota Nation, Cheyenne Nation and Arapahoe Nation were called together to discuss the protection from the abuse and exploitation of our ceremonies. The meeting was held at the Cultural Center in Eagle Butte, South Dakota, hosted by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. I would also like to acknowledge the financial donation from the Prairie Island Dakota Community.

Discussions in the meeting included the molestation taking place in ceremony, indecent mockery, mixing of new age beliefs, charging for ceremonies and death, which was never heard of before in our ancient ceremonial history. There was also discussion of the use of other medicines (drugs) in and around our ceremonies. When the White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the Sacred Bundle, she instructed that only those with a pure mind and heart should touch the C'anupa. The ceremonies in question, in reference to all the Plains Tribes, were the I-ni-pi (Purification Ceremony), Wi-wanyang-wa-c'i-pi (Sundance Ceremony) and Han-ble-c'i-ya (vision quest) Sacred Rites.

We put out notice in the newspapers, native radio stations and also contacted people through the phone. I offered prayers for the safe journey of the People to this very important historic meeting. Those that could not attend, I acknowledge their prayers for a good outcome for our concerns.

After long discussion and testimonies of the concerns and issues, it was decided that it would be up to me, as the Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe to make a decision. It was good to feel the beginning of a Unity amongst our People. This has been my concern for many decades, especially now, when we are facing an oncoming war. We need to stand strong with our ceremonies!

I will state what the decision is and also explain the reasons. I will state the protocols to our Seven Sacred Rites, which were passed down to me when I became the next Keeper at the age of 12 years old. These protocols are traditional knowledge passed down through our oral history and need to be brought back to strengthen our 'Ho-c'o-ka' (our sacred alters) once again.

I will also address the areas that I cannot be involved in. My responsibility is the Seven Sacred Rites.

It was decided, from March 9th, 2003 and forward, there will be no non-Natives allowed in our sacred Ho-c'o-ka (our sacred alters) where it involves our Seven Sacred Rites. The only protection with this decision in Government law; is that only enrolled members can carry an eagle feather. In all the Seven Sacred Rites, there has always been the understanding of earning and a requirement of an eagle feather while participating in these Rites. The eagle feather stands for Indigenous knowledge and guidance in our spiritual ways.

The Wi-wanyang-wa-c'i-pi (Sundance Ceremony): The only participants allowed in the center will be Native People. The non-Native people need to understand and respect our decision. If there have been any unfinished commitments to the Sundance and non-Natives have concern for this decision; they must understand that we have been guided through prayer to reach this resolution. Our purpose for the Sundance is for the survival of the future generations to come, first and foremost. If the non-Natives truly understand this purpose, they will also understand this decision and know that by their departure from this Ho-c'o-ka (our sacred alter) is their sincere contribution to the survival of our future generations.

Please understand the Wi-wanyang-wa-c'i-pi Ceremony is not only taking place in the center (Ho-c'o-ka) with the dancers. The ceremonial participation also depends on all the supporters on the outside of the arbor who should be in prayer. From the gate, to the cook shack, to the fire-keepers, to the supporters around the arbor, to even the moon camp, all people are still a part of this sacred ceremony.

There should be a preparation of 'Han-ble-c'i-ya' (vision quest) before you become a participant of the Sundance.

We shall go back into this ceremony with the proper protocols before and during the ceremony itself. Only those that have had the dream or direction through a ceremony, in concern of someone's health, should be dancing. Dancers should be secluded from outside participants, as to not be contaminated by other people's energy or thoughts. There should be absolutely no food or water during this four-day ceremony. If there are health problems, you should choose a person to finish your commitment. This ceremony is supposed to be for those that believe they can fulfill all required four days of the ceremony.

Han-ble-c'i-ya (Vision Quest): The vision quest should be only for Native People that have had the dream or vision. This Rite is also for the young men and women that reach the age of 12 years of age.

I-ni-pi (Purification Ceremony): Those that run this sacred rite should be able to communicate with Tun-ca-s'i-la (our Sacred Grandfathers) in their Native Plains tongue. They should also have earned this rite by completing Han-ble-c'i-ya and the four days and four years of the Wi-wanyang wa-c'i-pi.

The other four sacred rites of the Hun-ka ka-g'a (Making of a Relative), the Ta-pa kah'-g'o-ya (Throwing of the Sacred Ball), Wi-yan is'-na ti (Womanhood Ceremony) and the Na-g'i glu-ha (Keeping of the Spirit Ceremony), should be only handled by legitimate Lakota, Dakota, Nakota Oyate (People).

It was also decided only legitimate Lakota, Dakota, Nakota Oyate Medicine Bundle Keepers should handle any other ceremonies that are connected to our Ho-co-ka, such as the Lo-wa-pi and U-wi-pi ceremonies.

There should be no price tag allowed to participate in any of our Sacred Ceremonies. The only protocol needed for a ceremony is to o-pa-g'i, meaning to offer your C'anupa or offer tobacco that has been prayed with, in which the Medicine Person accepts or not accept if he is not able to assist. Medicine People do need to survive, and if people wish to give a monetary or any other gifts after they receive their help from ceremony, giving it from their hearts, I see no problem with that. We have to have faith that the Grandfathers will provide for our needs to survive in this modern society; whether the gift is money, blankets, food or anything that represents how much they appreciate the help. Some people can afford big gifts, some people cannot. It all balances out.

My position is only for the Seven Sacred Rites. I cannot dictate to our Medicine People who they allow to attend and support these Rites, in reference to non-Native People. I cannot dictate who they choose to doctor in their ceremonies. I cannot dictate where they travel to doctor.

I have my own personal feelings on who should be Keepers of our Sacred C'anupa (Pipe). The C'anupa is very sacred and the Keeper should first be given a dream and be of Native decent. This issue should be further discussed in our future meetings. The reason for my feelings is that I am aware the C'anupa has gone out to the International community and has been for sale. I know that most non-Native People do not understand the important protocols or have had the Traditional background to carry this sacred item properly. I am aware of women in their moon and men with blood on their hands (to take ones life intentionally) have been allowed to touch and carry the C'anupa. These serious situations were never to be allowed. I offer thanks to the non-Native People that have returned the C'anupa to our People, after I privately shared my concerns with them. I acknowledge their true sincerity in assisting our Nation to protect the survival of our Traditional way of life on behalf of our future generations. They have helped us bring back honor and respect to our sacred Ho-co-ka and C'anupa.

There was also discussion of only the Plains Tribal members to participate in the Ho-co-ka of the Wi-wanyang wa-c'i-pi and the Han-ble c'i-ya Ceremonies. In the early 70's, Chief Fools Crow and my father Stanley Looking Horse decided to allow other Native Nations to participate in these Rites. Their reasons were based on the fact that most Nations have lost their ways through assimilation or lack of Teachers to teach their Indigenous ways. They honored and understood the unity of the First Nations People when different Tribes came to the aid of the Wounded Knee Occupation. I cannot undo their decision out of respect for our Chief and Elder. It has also been in our history that our Ancestors have respectfully shared our ceremonies with other Indigenous Nations.

The original teachings were that the Pipe Carrier should make their own C'anupa. There was an understanding of the sincere spiritual energy and the traditional values passed down through our bloodlines. All the values of compassion, love, honor, respect and truth are molded into the spiritual life they are creating. I hope that one day the future generations will again pick up this important protocol.

I would like to invite all our Lakota, Dakota, Nakota Nations to the next ceremony when I bring out the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Bundle. The dates in the fall will be announced. During this time we will place the 12 honorable compassionate men to assist in taking care of the concerns of the Sacred C'anupa. We will also discuss the protocols of the need to have a good mind and good heart to be a member of the Societies that will carry out these decisions in a respectful manner.

There will be another Protection of Ceremonies meeting to further discuss and address these serious issues in the future. This meeting will be sponsored by the Cheyenne Nation.

Once again, I thank all those that have offered prayers for these very serious issues to be discussed and handled in a good way.

In a Sacred Hoop of Life, where there is no ending and no beginning!

Mitakuye Oyasin,

Chief Arvol Looking Horse

Why not ask some real First Nations Native American folk what they feel and think about "Little Fraudmother"?
There is disagreement but no question about Keisha lying for money!

Keisha accuses Native folk of being "dark" because they expose her fraud? Yet how can she have the 'light' that she purports to have if her heart is full of lies!

Expose her lies!

Keisha Crowther is wearing a buckskin, using war paint, smoking a Chanunpa, holding crystals, doing fake ceremonies and lying upon lies!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hoTdKiMPCs

$160,000 in one event? And not one dollar for the Native Elders she claims to be a "Shaman' for?

Just another example of 'new age' fraud!

Sweat Lodge fraud leads to 3 deaths

James Arthur Ray faces up to 11 years in prison for running sweat lodges for huge profit:

"But those attending the Spiritual Warrior retreat did not know that Ray already was being accused of misappropriating and misusing others' teachings without permission or proper training. They did not know that his claims to have been initiated into three shamanic traditions, gaining expertise in a variety of spiritual and esoteric teachings, were either exaggerations or questionable.

And they did not know that Ray's way of running a sweat lodge violated the spiritual and safety practices of the Native American traditions he claimed to follow."

Rather like the fake claims of Keisha Crowther, about the fictional man "Falling Feathers" that no Salish or 'Sioux' folk have ever heard of and is (according to Keisha) now dead so conveniently cannot be questioned!

It really is time for an end to New Age Fraud!

Keisha - support the people you claim to represent!

Why is Keisha Crowther NOT an outspoken supporter of the campaign for Leonard Peltier and ALL First Nations political prisoners?
Why does she claim to have authority from American Native peoples yet NOT donate to their struggles, help them with her wealth, give a proportion of the substantial sums she makes from selling the sacred ceremonies she claims she has the 'authority to practice' as "Shaman of the tribe"?
Why is she NOT urging her supporters to help the Tribal people she claims gave her the authority to be their "Shaman"?
Thousands of First Nations men (& women) are in USA jails for crimes that are politically motivated and the result of the Colonial Apartheid state that the USA is based upon.
Leonard Peltier was convicted of a crime that the judge at the time admitted there was NO proof that Leonard had a part in. In other words Leonard was imprisoned for a crime without lawful conviction. There are many other wrongful imprisonment of Native American cases.
While Keisha Crowther makes money charging fixed fees for ceremonies she has appropriated from native people, the people she claims to represent suffer hardships and abuse!

The Leonard Peltier campaign site:
http://www.whoisleonardpeltier.info/

Time for Keisha to give generously to the fund for the new film about Leonard!

And time for her supporters to give to the campaigns for First Nations peoples freedom and insist that Keisha gives to the people she claims to represent!

A Native speaks about Keisha

The following quote came from this site: http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index...24947#msg24947

Unfortunately the site is not working at present, but hopefully will be operating again to give further clarification.

The quote from a First Nations native is as follows:

Kiesha Crowther has spoken in her own videos about how the "elders of the Salish" tribe, are the ones who made her "shaman over the Salish tribe". Those are her words, not mine. No one in the Flathead knows of this woman. I have spent some time asking and I even got a few laughs. She has also laid claim to Sioux, as so many white new age peddlers do. I recorded the youtube video's on my little camera and took copies to some of the elders here, and they watched them and were disgusted, truly. So here's my advice to anyone looking to verify her claims to Salish and Sioux, call the tribal office and ask them about her and her mother. We can't even verify the mother, as she has not given a name so that anyone can trace her lineage.

So if no one Salish up here knows who Kiesha Crowther, "shaman over the Salish tribe", then tell me who is Kiesha? She is a con artist, like so many others who have come before her. For example, the white woman Lynn Andrews who has written multiple books laying claim to teachings from women who don't exist, then charging grandiose amounts of money to take women to Joshua Tree and teach them shamanism. Kiesha has probably seen how well a white woman can do for herself if she can convince people that she's been annointed by someone important.

Kiesha seems to have alot of people in other countries fooled. Read through the youtube commentary, which is mostly made up by those living outside of the U.S. Most new age peddlers and pretenders like to don their regalia and tour foreign countries playing ndn, because the people are so starved for their indian experience they will pay precious money to get it. This whole thing has sickened me. You cannot stop a con artist in another country, where she has paying fools that believe in her.

So far, from what I understand, Kiesha used to live in Colorado. She was married and had two children. She left her husband and her babies to go off into the world and play white lady shaman. Let me make this clear, she abandoned those children. They no longer have their mother because she has told the people there in Co that "this is her mission and her calling". If that story of the owl is truth, then she should have seen that the owl was telling her to stay home and do not abandon her family this way.

She's charging people for these "spiritual teachings" that she has read every where else on the internet or in books. Read a Lynn Andrews book. She copies the woman's style. I would not be surprised at all to find that Kiesha was a student of Lynn Andrews. You can google Lynn and see what exorbitant amounts of money she charges to teach women how to be a white pretender. It's sad. You can't make someone ndn. You cannot steal from the culture and lie, and twist it to fit what you want to teach others.

Kiesha has literally stolen her titles, and has fabricated her story about becoming shaman over the Salish tribe.

I say the woman is in need of prayers. Any woman who would desert her childen to come into the world to live a lie is not waking in truth and must have some serious problems going on. She's lost touch with who she is, and has clung to a lie to feel better in her life.

I have no desire to bash her but I will stand up and say that stealing from the Salish and claiming to be made a shaman is dead wrong, and she will have to account for those lies eventually. What will Kiesha do should the elders show up to one of the seminars she charges for to ask her of her claims?

I see that Kiesha has closed off her facebook from the public eye and now you must friend her in order to read there. She probably feels closed in on, as I am certain she has read this forum and knows that people are catching on to her.

There was NO "Falling Feathers", her maternal family do NOT come from a reservation and are NOT native! It's ALL lies! No Flathead people or Sioux people have ever heard of the fictional person "Falling Feathers". No Tribal Elders have ever met Keisha Crowther. No title has ever been bestowed upon her. She is NOT a Shaman for either groups of tribal people. Which makes her a liar and a cheat! The question is why is she lying?
Why has she NOT met with the Elders that she claims to represent?
Why does she use false claims about her origins?
She claims to represent the "Sioux" (a large group of tribes), despite them saying that they have never met her.
She has NO respect from Sioux people for her lies and her ignorance of the plight of their people. While she makes money from their cultural heritage they mostly live in poverty.
She has said and done nothing for the many Sioux political prisoners (such as Leonard Peltier - the innocent, 'Nelson Mandela' of native people!).
She has not given a share of her money to the Leonard Peltier campaign or to people at the Rosebud or other Indian reservations.

The big questions remain as to why she is lying and why she is claiming any authority. All she has to do is meet with the Elders of Salish and 'Sioux' Tribes but she refuses. She could come clean about her 'fantasies' about being a "Shaman" and instead be honest and spread her message honestly, as a white woman of English and German descent who has NO connection to First Nations peoples and has realised some truths about humanity. To continue to lie is theft and is immoral. To make money from her claims is FRAUD!

The fact remains that NO NATIVE PEOPLE OF THE AMERICAS TRIBES THAT SHE CLAIMS AUTHORITY FROM, SUPPORT HER OR CONDONE HER ACTIONS OR CLAIMS!!

Unfortunately, any support for her is complicity in FRAUD!

RE: Kiesha Crowther Little Grandmother, Nov. 14, 2010

This was posted online:

I send a question about Kiesha Crowther to this e-mail address robertmc@cskt.org and received the following answer:

"In recent months, employees of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes began receiving numerous phone calls and emails regarding someone who claims to be a shaman, who claimed to receive their training from a Salish elder named Falling Feather. This self-proclaimed shaman, Kiesha Crowther, who calls herself Little Grandmother, first came to our attention because of these calls. We have no record of the family names she's shared in her biographical posts on the Internet.
To make it clear to others who contact this Tribal nation, the Salish and Kootenai have absolutely no connection to Kiesha Crowther. Her numerous video talks posted online are not based in any kind of authentic knowledge from this tribe.

We have been contacted by people from Hawaii, Spain, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany who appear to have given her great fees to speak. Zero dollars from those arrangements have come to support our language, culture, or safety net programs of this reservation. At best, she is a stranger to us. At worst, she has used our name to promote a profitable image. "

Kiesha Crowther AKA Little Grandmother has greatly offended the indigenous nations of this continent, who value our spirituality as the core of our existence.

You have twisted and perverted the spiritual beliefs and practices that enable us to cope with colonization, oppression and the post -traumatic stress of surviving centuries of cultural and spiritual genocide.

WHEREAS: You have displayed outrageous arrogance by making yourself a god in an oppressed people’s religion.

WHEREAS: Your entire identity is based on lies, deception and misrepresentation.

Whereas: You have demonized Native Americans who object to your sacrilege of their spiritual beliefs by calling them toxic, dark and cold and you have attacked them using the tactics that lack integrity.

Whereas: You have repeatedly misrepresented facts about indigenous prophesies and spiritual practices either intentionally or negligently promoting falsehoods about the true nature of our prophesies.

Whereas: You have intentionally misrepresented essential facts about who you really are.

Whereas: You have refused to accept constructive criticism from indigenous leaders and activists, you have refused to meet with them to discuss their grievances and have demonized them and suppressed their free speech rights.

Whereas: You have interfered with indigenous people’s inherent right to practice and preserve their spiritual practices for the sole purpose of marketing them for profit.

Whereas: You have violated the human rights of your followers by manipulating them into neutralizing all sources of criticism in order to keep them dependent on you.

We, the true indigenous peoples of Turtle Island are making the following demands:

Keisha Crowther must:

Stop wearing a medicine bag around her neck.

Stop wearing men’s buckskin.

Stop claiming to have any knowledge about ancient indigenous beliefs.

Stop claiming to represent any indigenous people in any way, shape or form.

Stop using native styled drums in her self-styled ceremonies.

Stop using white courts to harass, threaten and censor Native American activists and our allies.

Appear in TRIBAL COURT to account for your crimes against Native People.

Stop conducting self-styled sweat lodges, vision quests and pipe ceremonies.

Stop claiming the there are any Native prophesies about a fair haired girl coming to lead indigenous people.

Stop any association with yourself and White Buffalo Calf Woman.

Publically apologize for lying and manipulating your followers at all workshops and retreats and return all of their money if requested to do so.

Locate and take down all videos where you appear in buckskin, with Native styled drums or shields or conducting pipe or medicine wheel ceremonies.

Make a video sincerely apologizing for the wrong you have done Native people and post is on YouTube for all to see.

Dissolve the tribe of many colors and provide a licensed, qualified cult exit counselor for any of its members that are still trying to “live from the heart” NO COST to them.

Kiesha Crowther will not be right with the indigenous people of Turtle Island until she makes amends for her offenses and accepts responsibility for her deceptions.

Only if you start being honest with yourself, your followers and the indigenous people of this land will you begin to heal the damage that you done.

Salish Elders clarify

Statement of the Salish Elders:

"The Culture and Elders Committee of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation protect the intangible cultural resources of the tribes including language, songs, stories etc.

"No tribal Elders or elders have met with nor do they condone the claims and actions made by Kiesha Crowther.

"She is not their 'shaman', she has no right to claim this title and the Elders and elders of CSKT of the Flathead Reservation would like her to cease and desist immediately from making such false claims that erode the traditions that members of the CSKT Culture and Elders Committee are trying to preserve."

KEISHA CROWTHER IS A FRAUD!

KEISHA CROWTHER IS A LIAR!

KEISHA CROWTHER IS NOT A SHAMAN!

KEISHA CROWTHER HAS NO PERMISSION FROM ANY NATIVE AMERICANS TO PERFORM THEIR CEREMONIES, CARRY A PIPE, OR REPRESENT THEM IN ANY WAY!

The truth speaks louder than the false claims of self-appointed ‘Little Grandmother’. She lives a wealthy life while the people she falsely claims to represent suffer poverty and oppression.

The Native people that Keisha Crowther claims to represent, Salish & “Sioux”, do not know her and have asked her to come and meet them. They do not like that she left her children. They want her to be honest and to sit and talk with them, yet she still refuses to do so. The Salish Tribal Council is considering legal action.

Just look up “Keisha Crowther fake” on YouTube and the internet. Hear and see the words of First Nations Native American peoples about The Fraud Keisha Crowther!

PLEASE HELP TO BRING THIS FRAUD TO ACCOUNT!
